Postpartum Meal FAQ

Which Postpartum Meal Plan Is Right for me?

We offer three postpartum meal styles, each with a different recovery focus:

Cantonese — Most Popular

Our most balanced and varied option, with nourishing soups, traditional Cantonese dishes and desserts. Designed with a strong focus on postpartum nourishment, recovery, breastfeeding nutrition and restoring overall balance.

Taiwanese — Traditional Confinement Style

A warmer, more structured approach inspired by traditional Taiwanese confinement practices, featuring sesame oil-based dishes, functional soups and organ meats. The early stages focus more on warming nourishment and body reconditioning, with breastfeeding nutrition becoming a greater focus later in the program.

Vegetarian — Plant-Forward Postpartum Nutrition

Designed for vegetarian mothers who still want recovery-focused postpartum nourishment. Meals emphasize varied vegetarian protein, iron-rich foods, nourishing soups and balanced nutrition for recovery and breastfeeding.

Can Postpartum Meals Be Personalized?

Yes. After your baby arrives, you’ll complete our Meal Starting Intake Form so we can better understand your delivery, recovery priorities, breastfeeding plans, dietary needs and allergies before your meals begin.

We use this information to personalize your meal planning within the structure of your selected postpartum meal program.

We can accommodate many common dietary preferences and restrictions. If you have multiple severe allergies or complex dietary requirements, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm whether we can safely accommodate your needs.

To maintain consistent meal quality and efficient daily production, we do not offer extensive substitutions based solely on personal taste or dislikes.

When should I order my postpartum meals?

We recommend exploring your postpartum meal options during your second or third trimester. If you’d like to experience the food first, you can start with a 1-Day Postpartum Meal Trial.

Full postpartum meal programs should ideally be reserved before 36 weeks of pregnancy to help secure availability.

Your estimated due date is used for planning purposes only. Your actual meal start date will be confirmed after your baby arrives.

How do I start my postpartum meal delivery after my baby arrives?

Once your baby arrives and you’re ready to begin, complete our Meal Starting Intake Form with your updated information and preferred start date.

For next-day delivery, please submit the form before 6:00 PM. Deliveries are available Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays.

We’ll confirm your first available delivery date based on your location and delivery schedule.

What if my baby arrives earlier or later than expected?

That’s completely fine. Your due date is used for planning purposes only — your meals do not automatically begin on that date.

Once your baby arrives, complete the Meal Starting Intake Form and let us know when you’re ready to begin. We’ll adjust your meal start date based on your actual delivery and recovery timeline.

This allows you to reserve your postpartum meal program in advance without needing to know your baby’s exact arrival date.

Do you support C-section recovery?

Yes. Our postpartum meal programs can be personalized for both vaginal and C-section recovery.

After your baby arrives, your intake form helps us understand your delivery and current recovery needs. Meal planning can take into account areas such as protein and overall nourishment, digestion, hydration, energy needs and breastfeeding nutrition.

If you’ve had a C-section, we’ll consider your post-surgical recovery when planning your meals within your selected program.

If you have specific medical or dietary requirements following delivery, please follow your healthcare provider’s advice and let us know before your meals begin.
